We’ll learn about the color wheel, different color theories, how to create color combinations that pop and more.

Ever feel stuck or uncertain when choosing colors for your quilts? Want to learn to talk about color like a pro? Love color and just want to have some fun? Then this is the class for you! We’ll learn about the color wheel, different color theories, how to create color combinations that pop and more. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how color relationships work and how to make the most of color in your quilts. You’ll leave with a color wheel of your own for future reference, samples of the kona cotton colors that we use in class, and a mini quilt pattern to complete at home.

Cost: $150 course fee

  • your sewing machine and basic sewing tools
  • 1/4 inch presser foot recommended
  • one layer cake (or fabric to make 36 10″ squares)
  • coordinating thread
  • “twin” sized batting (or two yards of batting if bought off the roll)
  • quilters safety pins, 100 count
  • 1/2 yard fabric for binding
  • 4 yards fabric for backing
