In this 2-part Knitting 101 class series we’ll work from start to finish, talking about yarns, weights and their different uses, which knitting needles to use when and then stitch up a project together. The Knitting 101: Beginner Class is perfect for a total newbie or as a refresher if it has been a while since you had your hands on your needles. We can tailor the class to meet your knitting skill level so that you leave each class excited about what you’ve learned.

Knitting Skills You Will Learn:

  • Different knitting tools and their uses
  • How to Cast On (or begin knitting)
  • Knit, Purl and Binding Off (or ending a project)
  • Knitting in the round
  • Increasing and decreasing stitches
  • Different properties of yarn and the uses for various weights
  • Problem-solving for common knitting mistakes and challenges

Knitting 101 Prerequisite: None

Beginner Knitting Class Cost: $120 course fee, includes four hours of instruction
