In Sewing 201 Plus, we’ve selected a commercial pattern that’s incredibly well drafted and fits women’s size 0-26. We’ll cover the basics (how to read the pattern, what all the terminology and symbols mean and how to navigate the instructions without frustration) and then we’ll work through fitting this pattern to your body measurements. In this session you’ll be making the Myrtle Dress from Colette Patterns! The Myrtle has a cowl neckline, a comfortable and figure skimming elasticized waist, and a flowing gathered skirt with in-seam pockets. The skirt of Version 1 falls just below the knee. Version 2 features adjustable button-on shoulder tabs and an above-the-knee hemline. After four short weeks you’ll leave with a one of a kind garment that you’ll be proud to show off to your friends and family.
Cost: $250 course fee, includes 10 hours of instruction, paper patter and some supplies.
Prerequisite: This class assumes that you’ve completed our Sewing 102 course or have equivalent skills
