$340.00

-

Private lessons for learning to make your own custom sloper pattern.

To get your lesson on the schedule, please refer to the calendar below and provide the date and instructor your are requesting.

Slopers are the basic building block for all patterns. For commercial patterns, a sloper is based on typical/average/ideal body shapes. For indie patterns, the slope is probably based off the designers body shape. In this sloper private lesson we will help you develop a sloper pattern based on your specific body measurements; and that sloper can be used to draft an endless number of patterns at home, or modify commercial patterns and achieve a more customized fit. A bodice sloper details the length, width, and shape of your torso, as well as the bust points and the length of bust darts. You can a bodice sloper with a skirt sloper to make a dress. A pants sloper takes all the guess work out of creating a great fitting pair of pants. If you have never made a sloper before, we recommend starting with a bodice sloper, then a skirt, and finally pants.

Cost: $340 covers a 4-hour private lesson. Most students can finish a bodice sloper within a 4-hour lesson. Your 4-hour session can be booked all at once or broken up into two 2-hour sessions. Additional time can be purchased if needed. Private sewing lessons are booked in 2+ hour blocks at a rate of $85/hour.
