When was the last time your sewing machine got a little TLC? Join us for a hands-on class designed to help you confidently perform essential maintenance and troubleshoot common issues—skills that will keep your machine running smoothly and save you unnecessary trips to the repair shop.
Whether you sew on a beloved vintage machine or a modern workhorse, this class is perfect for any portable sewing machine owner who wants to keep their equipment in top shape. All skill levels are welcome!
What’s Included:
A $10 supply fee (already included in your class cost) provides you with:
- A brand-new cleaning brush
- Cleaning swabs
- An 80/12 Microtex needle
You’ll also have access to sewing machine oil, grease, and microfiber towels during class—everything you need to complete your maintenance session.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to clean, maintain, and care for your sewing machine
- Troubleshooting tips for common sewing machine issues
Note: We’ll focus on routine maintenance—no removing covers or internal disassembly.
Class Duration: ⏱️ 2 Hours

- Your sewing machine, foot pedal, and power cord
- All-purpose presser foot
- Extra bobbins
- Any screwdrivers that came with your machine
- Sewing machine manual (No manual? We’ll help you find a digital copy!)
- Thread
- Small scissors
- An old towel (especially helpful if you’re bringing a vintage machine)

Wini has been crafting and creating since she no longer had to ask her parents for money (a very long time). Through a series of random but fortunate events, she bought a sewing machine and has never looked back. Wini took her first quilting class and found the thing her soul has longed for. It combines so many of her interests from surface pattern design and sewing. Quilting 101 is Wini’s favorite class because it never ceases to amaze her that you can cut something up and make it even more beautiful with piecing.
