Mini Capsule Wardrobe

We will be touching on the basics of sewing with knit and woven fabrics and creating a capsule wardrobe with all of the essentials for your seasonal wardrobe Learning the skills to create knit apparel, completing a total of four garments NOTE: We will provide alternative projects for men registering for class.

We will discuss fabric needs and color combinations.

We will create a capsule collection using the fabrics and silhouettes for your unique sense of style. This class will include a digital pattern complete with 4 garment options that can be repeated at home.

We will plan our capsule prior to class in a zoom session to ensure we are selecting fabrics that are cohesive and interchangeable in your collection.

Class time: Four (4) classes totalling 10 hours

Prerequisite: This is a 201 level workshop, you will need sewing 101 and 102 experience.

Prework: Printing and tracing out patterns prior to class

• 2 yards of Jersey or lightweight woven fabric (Tank)
  • Ogden Cami (purchase the pattern in advance of class)
• 2 yards of Chiffon or lightweight knit (Summer cardigan wrap)
• 2 yards of mid weight Linen, Guaze, or Chambray (Drawstring shorts)
• 1 1/2 yard of drawcord (optional)
• 1 package of 1″ elastic
• Matching thread for three garments
• Sewing machine
