A little about Diana:
Diana is a passionate self-taught sewist who began her sewing journey as an adult. Over time, she mastered the art of creating beautiful quilts, stylish bags, and unique clothing. Her creativity shines through in her quilt designs, which are entirely her own. Dianaās true calling lies in teaching others to sew. She finds immense joy in guiding beginners and watching their skills flourish. She is dedicated to sharing her craft and inspiring others to embark on their own sewing adventures.
A little about Darcy:
Darcy has been sewing for basically her entire life, growig up with grandmothers and a mother who sewed so it’s always been a part of Darcy’s life. She worked in a fabric shop in high school and got back into sewing as an adult when her best friend couldn’t find nursery things she loved for her first baby. Darcy caught the quilting bug and has been loving it ever since! Sewing 101 is Darcy’s favorite class to teach because watching people go from scared to turn their machine on to actually sewing in four weeks is MAGICAL!
A little about Sarah:
Sarah has a bachelorās degree in Fashion Design from Western Michigan University. When not teaching at Fabricate Studios or traveling, you can find Sarah at her studioĀ Revive Threads Co.Ā where she loves creating sustainable clothing by upcycling amazing treasures and vintage fabrics. All of the clothing at Revive Threads is made from 90%-100% recycled materials.
Before launching Revive Threads Co. Sarah worked full-time in the industry using her skills in professional pattern making, technical pattern drafting, draping, and bringing paper to life at an apparel company in the metro Atlanta area. Sarah has over 8 years of hands-on experience that she willingly shares with the students at Fabricate Studios.

“Diana is an EXCELLENT teacher. Clear, patient, breaks it all down step by step + she has a sense of humor.
I did the class just to hang with my daughter but I ended up loving it + buying a sewing machine. So fun!
Don’t worry, I had NO skills but I made a cute project every class! Do it!” ~Lisa (Google)
“I’ve been taking their sewing 101 class and Diana is a wonderful teacher. Her passion for sewing and quilting is obvious and she does a great job at helping newbies through their projects. I’ve already signed up for 2 more classes with Fabricate. Highly recommend!” ~Mahssa (Google)
“I took the sewing 101 class with Diana and had a great experience! After getting a sewing machine for Christmas, I was so intimidated to get started. But now Iām so thankful I found this class. Diana guided me through the entire process of winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and of course, the sewing! We made several projects that Iām super proud of, plus after graduation, Diana provided additional resources on how to make even more projects. I highly recommend the 101 course!” ~Brooke (Google)
“I just took 101 sewing with them and it was great. I havenāt come close to a machine in 20 years and after only 4 classes im hooked up, sewing basic stuff with very good technique and full of projects! Iāll be back for more classes and thank you Diana for being such a wonderful teacher!!” ~Tati (Google)
“This place is the best! I didnāt learn to sew in my youth so Iām making up for lost time, having fun, and making some really cute pieces in Sewing 101. Sara is a talented and patient teacher and sets a great tone for the class. I am really enjoying sewing now!” ~Laurie (Google)
“I took the Sewing 101 class- includes 4 dedicated projects (with extra projects)! Diana, my teacher, was so kind, patient and knowledgeable. I was a total newbie that had no idea about using my sewing machine. I really enjoyed the classes and had fun with my fellow classmates! I can’t wait to start Sewing 102!” ~Weslyn (Google)
“My beginning sewing class was fantastic! Diana was incredibly helpful and supportive with our group. The group size (5) was perfect. Diana was able to help and facilitate us all within the class time. I never felt rushed and the homework is straight-forward (with pictures!). I always felt encouraged and safe to ask lots of questions š I will definitely be taking another class soon!” ~Lola (Google)
“I just finished the sewing 101 class with Diana and cannot say enough good things about the studio, class, or teacher! The studio has plenty of cutting space and materials for working with your fabric and is set-up in such a way as to make your set/up super easy.
In Sewing 101, we got familiar with our individual machines and comfortable working with them. Diana was a pro at walking us through these processes while providing helpful tips and tricks. Most importantly, she made it all accessible and met each student exactly where we were. Some of these tips solved consistent challenges I’d been facing when sewing at home and helped make my time sewing both easier and more joyful!
The projects were thoughtfully ordered in such a way as to build upon skills learned in the previous class and resulted in great items to keep or gives as gifts to family or friends. Finally, I cannot say enough about Diana’s focus and patience. She was always happy to contextualize her answers so we could apply them to multiple sewing situations or techniques and happy to remind us of basic steps in our sewing process. I’ll definitely be taking another class at Fabricate! This class brought a lot of joy and fun to my life!!!!” ~Joshua (Google)
