Take your embroidery from craft to art in this creative, project-based class. Hand Embroidery 102: Textile Art Projects is where thread meets imagination. You’ll use your basic embroidery skills as a foundation to explore fiber art techniques and create unique, display-worthy pieces.
Each project is designed to push creative boundaries—think abstract stitching, layered textures, bold color play, and mixed-media elements. This isn’t just about making something pretty; it’s about making something expressive.
➡️ Check out the Project Info tab to the right for a list of classes that will be offered in rotation.
In these classes, you’ll:
🧵 Explore embroidery as an art form, beyond traditional patterns
🧵 Work with a variety of textiles, textures, and nontraditional materials
🧵 Learn artistic techniques like shading, negative space, and free-form design
🧵 Create finished pieces ready for framing or fabric display
Select supplies are included for some projects, and you’re encouraged to bring additional materials for a personalized touch. This is the perfect next step for stitchers who want to experiment, express, and turn their needlework into art.
