Embroidery on Photography | Beginner
Discover a new and exciting art form using already established knowledge of photography and embroidery. This is a beginner-friendly class and it’s perfect for those who want to bring new life to an old photograph. The finished product can be given as a gift for a loved one or can be framed and placed as home decor.
Note: Students can bring their own printed photograph (preferably matte) or use one provided by the teacher.
Prerequisite: Previous experience with embroidery is preferred but not required.
What You’ll Learn:
• Basic embroidery stitches
• How to interact with an already present image
• How to work with paper without ripping it
• How to use embroidery colors and texture to create the illusion of depth and volume
Prework: Bring a copy of your favorite picture and try something new with it!
