$145.00

-

Learn the skills needed to create your very own woolly embroidery. We cover a series basic stitches, tips and tricks plus you’ll work up a sweet little sampler that’s yours to keep.

SKU: N/A Categories: ,

We will explore the use of crewel embroidery threads within this Delft inspired Tulip design. This pattern will use basic stitch techniques learned in the 101 class except with wool threads on a z-twist linen ground fabric. We will revisit line stitches, practice using a few as fill stitches, learn the basics of shading threads with long & short stitch, and discover a new twist stitch called Rope stitch.

This class is perfect for those wanting to learn how to shade both a range within one shade as well as two completely different colors. It is easier to learn to shade with wool than one strand of cotton!

Cost: $145 course fee, includes 2.5 hours of instruction and a supply kit

Supply Kit Includes: 7” square pre-printed z-twist Scottish Linen Twill Fabric, 5 full skeins of Appleton Crewel Wool, 6” hoop, needle, and stitch guide

Prerequisite: Hand Embroidery 101 or equivalent skills

Instructor: Sarah Roberts from In The Quiet Hours
