Take your shading skills to the next level while creating this fanciful rooster portrait! The long & short stitch is the basis of needle painting and good shading technique, we will learn best practices for creating an even blend between your color shades and bringing objects to life. This pattern also begins to explore the wide world of Stumpwork techniques with felt padding to give your rooster dimension. Note – we will use one strand of DMC cotton and a size 10 embroidery needle throughout this design. Please bring magnification and lighting tools if needed.

Cost: $230 course fee, includes 2 classes (2 hours each) for a total of 4 hours of instruction and supply kit.
Supply Kit Includes: 7” square pre-printed cotton fabric, full skeins stranded cotton floss, 6” hoop, needles, and stitch guide
Note to Students: An email will be sent to upon registration. If participants wish to stitch with silk they may purchase threads on their own. A list of colors will be given upon request. Full skeins of Au Ver Soie stranded silk are approx. $6-7 a skein
