Join in a summer hand embroidery 4 class series specifically for teens! It is recommended that to learn stitches used later in the series, students join in the first class if at all possible.
Week 1: We will play with basic stitches in a popsicle sampler and discuss tools & materials. This is a beginner hand embroidery class.
Week 2: Add hand embroidery to your clothes! Play with visible mending, adding hand stitched details, or learn a Sashiko patterns.
Week 3: Watercolor & Hand Stitching Learn how to add watercolor paints to fabric while developing a full hand embroidered piece of fabric art.
Week 4: Sequins & Beads! We will add sparkles to our embroidery work! This can be any of the previous pieces worked over the series or a sampler of how to attach bling to your hand stitching!
Prework: It is preferred if participants take the first class in this series (embroidery 101) to learn basic stitches used later in the summer.
