Beginner Sewing Groups (Aligned with the School Year!)
Our Beginner Sewing Groups are perfect for kids who are ready to learn the basics of sewing in a fun, structured environment. These twice-monthly group lessons follow the local school calendar — running from August through May, with a break in December for winter holidays.
Students learn in small cohorts, meaning they stay with the same group throughout the year, building skills and friendships along the way. With hands-on guidance, boys and girls will learn to confidently use a sewing machine and other essential tools. Meeting every other week, your child will steadily grow their skills — and you’ll be amazed at what they’re able to create!
Cost: $199 per month (all supplies included).
Billing is automated and occurs on the 1st of each month from August to May (no billing in June or July). If you join mid-month, we offer flexible options including make-ups or prorated payments (upon request).
Classes pause for summer break and winter break, in sync with the Atlanta Public school schedule.

Skills Learned: During lessons your child will learn how to use a sewing machine with supervision, master specific beginner skills and create some fun, age appropriate projects.
Supplies: all fabric and supplies are included as part of the class fee. If you have a sewing machine at home, you are welcome to bring it! If not, no worries, we have sewing machines available for use during class.

Schedules are posted below. Several make-up dates will be offered throughout the school year, this ensures your child stays on track with the class and learns the skills necessary to keep up with the projects created. You will be charged on the day of enrollment. Automated billing will occur monthly on the first of each month ($100 per session, $199 total billed on the 1st) after your initial registration on the website. Monthly billing takes place August-May. Class registration covers the entire sewing school year. Classes may be cancelled at any time using the online cancellation on our website under My Account > Subscriptions. Refunds will not be provided after monthly payments are processed.
** New students can join the semester at any time. We will work together to determine if make-ups will be attended or if the cost will be prorated based on classes that have already taken place.
- Saturday Beginners: meets every other Saturday from 9:30-11:30am.
- August 2025 – May 2026 dates: 8/2, 8/16, 8/30, 9/13, 9/27, 10/11, 10/25, 11/8, 11/22, 12/6, 1/3, 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9
- Sunday Beginners: meets every other Sunday from 12-2pm.
- August 2025 – May 2026 dates: 8/3, 8/17, 8/31, 9/14, 9/28, 10/12, 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, 12/7, 1/4, 1/18, 2/1, 2/15, 3/1, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, 4/26, 5/17 (skipping Mother’s Day)
- Tuesday Beginners: meets every other Tuesday from 4-6pm.
- August 2025 – May 2026 dates: 8/5, 8/19, 9/2, 9/16, 9/30, 10/14, 10/28, 11/11, 11/25, 12/9, 1/6, 1/20, 2/3 2/17, 3/3, 3/17, 3/31, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12
Make-up Dates: life happens, we’re parents too! So we offer a handful of make-up dates to ensure that your kiddo learns the skills missed in class and can stay on track with the projects we’re covering from week to week. Please register for make-up classes online.
